Wilbury Residential
Wilbury Residential, formerly known as Callaways, approached Dogfish Design to lead a complete rebrand and digital transformation.
With nearly 90 years of history in the Brighton & Hove property market, the company wanted to modernise its identity, stand out in a competitive sector, and better connect with today’s buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants. The project involved renaming, refreshing the visual identity, and designing a new website that reflects Wilbury’s expertise while presenting them as a contemporary and approachable agency.
The Brief
From Callaways to Wilbury
The goal was to move away from the old branding to something more contemporary, personable and trustworthy, while retaining recognition of its heritage. Alongside the rebrand, they needed a new website that reflected the new identity, offered excellent usability for both property sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants, and showcased Wilbury’s nearly 90-year history in a way that resonated with modern audiences.
What We Did
Shaping a New Identity
Brand Strategy & Naming
Worked with Wilbury’s leadership to reposition the company from “Callaways” to “Wilbury Residential”, aligning with its locality and heritage.
Defined new brand values, tone of voice, visual direction and messaging pillars that communicate independence, trust, local expertise, and customer-centric service.
Visual Identity / Design
Designed a new logo, typographic scheme, colour palette and complementary design elements that feel fresh but professional.
Produced brand assets for both digital and offline use (signage, stationery, business cards, etc.).
Website Design & Development
Created a fully responsive website aligned with the new visual identity. The user experience was prioritised — for both prospective clients looking to sell or let, and tenants/buyers browsing properties.
Included features like featured properties, property searches, service pages (selling, letting, property management), news/articles/blog, contact & about pages, “why choose us” section.
Emphasised storytelling of Wilbury’s history (“90 years of property expertise”) to build trust and heritage.
Ensured ease of content management, performance, SEO foundations, and good mobile UX.
Content & Messaging Refresh
Rewrote/adapted website copy to reflect the new brand voice — friendly, expert, reassuring.
Organized content to highlight service areas, team, expertise, why Wilbury is different, local knowledge, plus regular insight articles/blogs to engage users.
The Results
A Modern Brand with Real Impact
- Brand Lift & Recognition: The new name and visual identity have revitalised perception in the local market. Wilbury now presents as a modern, confident agency while retaining the trust built over many decades.
- Improved User Engagement: Visitors to the website now experience cleaner navigation, clearer calls to action (e.g. “Find your property,” “Speak to one of our experts”), and a more visually engaging site.
- Stronger Lead Generation: The refreshed site and clearer messaging have increased enquiries from both sellers and tenants. More users are browsing properties, contacting the team, and engaging with news content.
- Long-Term Brand Consistency: The branding works well across touchpoints (online, signage, print), helping Wilbury Residential maintain a coherent and professional image.
