We created a logo for new this copywriting business, to give them a professional image and to help them stand out.

The Brief

Helping to get the point across

On Top of the Word is a copywriting agency run by Alice Cooke. Alice had just launched this new business and needed a new brand to help her to establish her position as a strategic copywriter and to advance her business.

The goal was to develop a visual identity that fully represented Alice’s copywriting business, enabling her to grow in confidence and develop her business with more ideal clients and more income.

What We Did

Modern and corporate branding to convey the right message to new clients.

Alice wanted to focus on just using the words from the company name, keeping it simple with no clichéd icons (pen, quill, typewriter etc.). She also communicated that she liked bold but simple designs, clean lines and quite a corporate, professional style.

From the 3 options we presented to Alice she chose the logo concept where we used a strong serif font with an apostrophe to make up part of the W. For the colour we chose a bold and striking orange, along with black lettering to really make it pop.


They delivered exactly what I asked for and more – I was given a great range of logo options, all of which were great.
